Tamara Jarrett

Tamara is an educator, entrepreneur, inspirational innovator, artist, journalist, and boundary-breaker. Whether playing tackle football for the world champion Carolina Phoenix women’s football team, serving on the Advisory Board for the Walt Disney World College Program, founding two successful women-owned companies in traditionally male dominated industries, teaching research methods as a professor at Elon University, or creating new charitable initiatives for the C2 Foundation, Tamara’s passion for creating meaningful partnerships has certainly led her down more than one “road less traveled”.

Her PhD work in communications and the diffusion of innovation has been the driving force behind the successful launch of new services and products in the fitness, recreation and wellness industries. Now working with the recreation and wellness departments at over 200 colleges and universities across the country, Tamara has a unique connection to the workforce of the future. Her company, CORE Unlimited, offers services that range from risk management to organizational consulting to wellness program development. In addition, her non-profit, the C2 Foundation’s, latest initiative is to create a new wellness retreat in northern Portugal which will connect students pursuing careers in recreation and wellness to international learning opportunities and voluntourism. When she is not working, Tamara enjoys spending time with her family and pack of dogs, playing guitar, traveling, playing padel, distilling essential oils, making jewelry and other artistic endeavors.
